Tableau Vivants - Research

When Phil said we was going to have to produce a 3d scene with a tableau vivants style I was rather confused considering this was the first time I had ever come across the term as a art form. But after doing the research I i found out that it was French term for 'living picture'.
Which would capture subtle movement or stillness giving of a vague about a strangeness that builds up a form of suspense in a photograph or painting..

For example i took a deeper look into famous Tableau vivants artist Edgar Degas artwork and saw that he used rather theatrical as he usually focused on performing art. He also uses up the space in his environments very well as he crops half of a figure of the side of the page making us feel as if more is going leaving a sense of ambiguity with not giving away the full narrative of what is actually is happening.
